topology of a refusal

The series begins with this image.
You didn’t want to be photographed.
Each time I lifted the camera,
your body found a way out.
It was a simple refusal, almost ordinary,
but I felt a boundary in it.
I think I was taking photos to check whether
I still had a place in your frame — in your life.
So I took pictures anyway.
That I was looking for an entry point,
a way not to disappear beside you.
These photos aren’t memories. They are traces.
